    UNIFE reconfirms commitment to Sustainable Development Charter

    THE EUROPEAN Rail Supply Industry Association (UNIFE) reconfirmed its commitment to the UITP Sustainable Development Charter at a joint event, ‘The challenges of Sustainable Mobility’, where UNIFE Director General Michael Clausecker, signed the UITP Charter.

    The UNIFE Transport & Environment Working Group will be the main point of contact to foster dialogue between the two associations on this topic.

    On the occasion of the UITP Sustainable Development seminar in Seoul, Dr. Sombat Kitjalaksana, signed the UITP Sustainable Development charter thus making Bangkok Metro Public Company Limited (BMCL) a pledge signatory

    In the presence of the Mayor of Vienna and of the Policy Board of UITP, Wiener Linien became full signatory of the UITP Sustainable Development Charter in the City Hall of Vienna.

    Hans Rat, UITP Secretary General, congratulated Yoshio Ishida, Vice- Chairman, JR East for his commitment to sustainable development.


    ON THE occasion of their 135th Anniversary, the President of Carris, José Manuel Silva Rodrigues, signed the Sustainable Development Charter as full signatory in the presence of the Secretary of State for Transport in Portugal, Ana Paula Vitorino and Hans Rat. Carris is the largest public transport operator in Lisbon, Portugal.
