Buses with High Level of Service - Final Report

October 2011

Buses with High Level of Service – BHLS – are a way of improving the efficiency of the bus system through improved reliability, as well as customer support and marketing. Through relatively modest, cost-effective investments, BHLS systems and corridors can be feasibly implemented in both large and small urban areas with a considerable potential to shift travellers from private transport.

The report on the different BHLS implementation schemes in 14 European countries is the result of an action supported by COST (Cooperation in Science and Technology) and is available freely to all those interested.
