1st UITP Joint Workshop on Sustainable Development & CarSharing
How Public Transport & CarSharing contribute to Sustainable Development
    Coaching and Training Workshop
    18-19 October 2007, Brussels

    PROVISIONAL PROGRAMME

The Sustainable Development Signatories and the CarSharing Platform are jointly organising this Workshop to learn from each other and exchange good practices. CarSharing organisations can also take up this opportunity to sign the UITP Sustainable Development Charter and Charter signatories will be able to learn how CarSharing can complement the transport offer, avoid the pitfalls when launching a scheme, and increase their credibility and reputation amongst their customers and stakeholders. Cutting edge presentations by top practitioners in both fields will enable participants to better develop their future mobility strategies, and the parallel workshop sessions will allow the participants in-depth professional exchange.

    Format of the Workshop

The workshop will follow an interactive format. The focus will be on exchange of experience and learning in terms of Sustainable Development and CarSharing. An opening plenary session will show the links between these two closely related topics followed by parallel workshop sessions on Thursday afternoon. Participants will have the possibility to attend either the Sustainable Development Workshop or the CarSharing one. Finally on Friday morning there will be a second plenary session dedicated to new trends and communication.

The networking dinner on Thursday evening will also be an important part of building the network and is included in the price of the event.
