    CALL FOR PAPERS AND SESSIONS
Public transport: making the right mobility choices

58th World Congress and Mobility & City Transport Exhibition
    Vienna, 7-11 June 2009

All UITP membership and working bodies - Call for sessions on hot topics

Additionally, to ensure a comprehensive and high-quality Congress programme, UITP has reserved seven parallel sessions and four workshops to topics not directly related to the main theme. All UITP membership bodies have the possibility to submit session proposals to the Congress Programme Working Group.

For instance, these topics can include: climate change, IT, innovative financing models, fare policy, human resources, energy supply and diversification, etc.

The present call covers parallel sessions and workshops. It is open to proposals from UITP membership bodies ie:

      - Regional Assemblies and Committees
      - Modal and sectoral Assemblies and Committees
      - Thematic Commissions and permanent groups
      - Project teams and working groups.

The call aims to give UITP bodies an opportunity to present issues they have worked on since the last Congress. In this respect, UITP bodies are invited to propose session concepts (eg: classical session, round table, workshops with limited number of participants, panel discussions, etc) and content (proposal of speakers and speeches) to the Congress Programme Working Group. Imagination, new approaches and avant-garde ideas are strongly encouraged!

The deadline for the call for sessions is now over.
