    Introduction

Together UIC and UITP are promoting the 'Intermodality between Highspeed Train and Urban Transport Seminar'. The event will be a single opportunity to share information and understand why Latin American region is a promising market for new investment in transport sector.

We invite you to join this initiative of improving public transport!

International Union of Railways (UIC) founding in Paris on 17 October 1922, has an administration focusing on international traffic for the standardization and improvement of conditions of railway construction and operations. The main objective is to promote rail transport at world level and meet the challenges of mobility and sustainable development, including 198 members across all 5 continents.

International Association of Public Transport (UITP) is the international network for public transport authorities and operators, policy decision-makers, scientific institutes and the public transport supply and service industry, which is the global advocate for public transport and sustainable mobility, and the promoter of innovations in the sector. UITP covers all modes of public transport: metro, bus, light rail, regional and suburban rail, and waterborne transport, and it acts as a platform for worldwide co-operation, business development and the sharing of know-how between our 3,100 members from 90 countries.
