Introduction
We are happy to invite you to the Information and Initiative Days (I&I Days) on the Directive 2003/59 – initial and continuing training of professional drivers in urban transport. The I&I Days are a joint initiative of UITP (represented by UITP Euro Team) and the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF), led by AFT-IFTIM *.
This event aims to:
- Identify prerequisites to implement the Directive in the urban transport through a survey carried out with the social partners and ministerial representatives;
- Set-up co-operation and interchange networks on the basis of good practices in the fields of initial and continuing training, and social dialogue, inter alia;
- Draw up recommendations of the European social partners involved in this joint initiative.
During the event, a special area will be devoted to professional urban transport exhibitors representing training bodies and public transport networks.
