Urban line integrated in the North of the city of Madrid, an example of intermodality providing seamless connection to the metro network. The line runs underground for a significant part of its course, combining advanced ATP signaling systems in tunnel and on-sight driving on surface.
These suburban lines connect metro station Colonia Jardin and suburban railway station Aravaca with the municipalities of Pozuelo de Alarcon and Boadilla del Monte. Their routes exemplify the integration of light rail systems in areas of economic activity and strong infrastructure pressure such as the ring roads surrounding the city, as well as the integration of this mode in consolidated urban areas of Boadilla del Monte.
Parla’s light rail network consists of a circular line, running fully on surface. The line has two distinct sections: one in the consolidated urban center, which improved both the quality of life and urbanism of the city, and the second one serving the new development of East Parla.
