About:

This module describes the type of external threats that may be directed at public transport systems, the reasons behind them, the channels through which they are received (email, social media, telephone call, etc.) and guidelines that the threat recipients should follow. It then differentiates between viable and non-viable threats, and explains how to respond to viable threats when these are directed against stations, rolling stock, maintenance facilities and line of route infrastructure, until service can be resumed.  The module concludes with a ‘test your knowledge’ section and a lesson summary.

The module is intended for a targeted audience comprising security staff, security managers and operators in control rooms.

Lesson duration: 25-30 minutes.
