About: 

ASSTRA in collaboration with UITP is organising an International Conference on Competition and Financing Systems in Local Public Transport on 16-17 November in Venice in Italy. 

The event will be dedicated to the European framework of the opening to competition of public transport services and new ways to finance local public transport services. Second day of the event will be an Italian day with a political roundtable to discuss the specific situation of Italy.

Registration: 

To register at the conference, please fill in the below registration form and pay the relevant fee. The fee is €250 + VAT (25%) (for UITP members) for the first registered person within the same organisation and to attend both days of the conference. To attend only one day and/or as from the second registered person within the same organisation, the fee is €200 + VAT (22%). Payment can be settled via bank transfer. Cancellation sent later than 13 November will not be refunded.

Practical information: 

CONFERENCE VENUE

Conference will take place at the Island of San Servolo. The Island of San Servolo - Servizi Metropolitani di Venezia s.r.l. and the Centro Soggiorno e Studi, is located in Venice's historic centre, across from Saint Mark's Square, easily accessible by ACTV public waterbus (line 20, service every 20/40 minutes). Departures from the San Zaccaria MVE boat stop, travel time: 8/10 minutes.

WORKING LANGUAGES

Please note that on 16 November, translation Italian/English will be provided. On 17 November, Italian will be the only working language.

ACCOMPANYING PERSONS PROGRAMME

Guided tours for accompanying persons are foreseen on 16 November (afternoon) and on 17 November (morning). The programme of the tours is in the process of being defined.

Tours will be confirmed only when a minimum number of participants is reached.
