UITP is the international network for public transport authorities and operators, policy decision-makers, scientific institutes and the public transport supply and service industry. It is a platform for worldwide cooperation, business development and the sharing of know-how between its 3,400 members from 92 countries. UITP is the global advocate of public transport and sustainable mobility, and the promoter of innovations in the sector.
The 60th UITP World Congress and Mobility & City Transport Exhibition will take place from 26-30 May in Geneva, Switzerland. Inaugurated by Federal Councillor, Doris Leuthard, the Congress and Exhibition will allow visitors from around the world to discover the host country's exceptional public transport network.

UITP is moving forward with the PTx2 strategy and is launching a campaign titled 'Grow with Public Transport' to support the PTx2 ambition. The first 'Grow with Public Transport' international Awards will acknowledge outstanding achievement in the field of public transport innovation. The hand-over will take place a the Opening Ceremony of the UITP World Congress in Geneva.
