European elections are coming, make sure they have a positive impact

European elections are scheduled to take place from 6 to 9 June 2024, leading to a new European Parliament and Commission. This marks a crucial moment for increasing focus on our daily mobility and public transport.

With the motto ‘I vote public transport,’ UITP launches a new campaign to advance public transport and sustainable mobility in Europe. Through our campaign, we invite all European citizens to show their support for public transport and how the EU Institutions could make our cities better with more and better public transport.

Go to our webform and tell us why you love public transport!

We all want improved, faster, and more sustainable mobility in and around cities. The solution is easy – Europe needs to put more of a priority local public transport.

Together with our members, we are committed to showcasing all the benefits of public transport for people, cities, and the planet (read more). With the upcoming European legislature, it is time to implement a real strategy for more and better public transport. This will strengthen the positive impacts of our sector and make our cities better places to live.

How to support

Take an active part in our campaign by telling us how you use public transport, how it benefits your life and share a photo of you and your favourite bus, metro, tram or ferry!

Your messages/pictures will be used after the European elections to show the European Institutions how passionate we are about public transport.

And let’s go viral… We count on your support for sharing our campaign on social media and to your friends and family using #IVotePublicTransport!

Our campaign will run until 9 May – the Europe Day, with regular posts on our social media. Make sure to engage with our content on our regular UITP channels.

Let’s join forces to get the European Institutions to make public transport a priority so that we can all enjoy sustainable mobility in our cities.
