BioMotive is an EU project coordinated by SELENA Labs and funded by the Bio Based Industries Joint Undertaking under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme. BioMotive seeks to produce new vehicle materials with an increased bio-based content (60-80%) on an industrial scale offering enhanced technical performance, improved environmental profile and economic competitiveness.
To adapt the design of the material to the real needs of the industry, UITP leads an external Stakeholder Group. The objective of the group is to contribute to the exchange of feedback and to the clarification of the industry’s expectations through independent expertise. The group will consist of approximately 12 industry representatives interested in a potentially real implementation of the new materials in the main door handles, interior fascia and vehicle seats, aiming to replace the fossil-based by non-biodegradable counterparts. More details can be found in the Info Sheet.
