JIVE (Joint Initiative for hydrogen Vehicles across Europe) is an EU-funded project coordinated by Element Energy and co-funded by the European Union. It seeks to deploy 139 new zero emission fuel cell buses and associated refuelling infrastructure across five countries. The overall objective of the project is to advance the commercialisation of fuel cell buses through large-scale deployment of vehicles and infrastructure. The final aims is to make fuel cell buses commercially viable for bus operators to include in their fleets without subsidy, and that local and national governments feel empowered to regulate for zero emission propulsion for their public transport systems.
User Group, led by UITP, will aim to enlarge the operational assessment and validation of the JIVE concepts and results through independent expertise. The group will consist of 15 Public Transport Operators and Public Transport Authorities who are interested in the fuel cell technology and wish to study its potential implementations in their cities. Through the User Group assessments, the JIVE Consortium will be able to better understand the factors that lead to acceptance of the fuel cell buses. More details can be found in the Info Sheet.
If you are interested to join the JIVE User Group, please contact Marta Van den Bergh (firstname.lastname@example.org) at your earliest convenience but no later than Wednesday 26 July 2017. Following this exchange, we will send you a contract that will be signed by both parties as an official agreement. The first User Group meeting will take place in Riga (Latvia) in the week of 25 September (1 day).
