A unique video documentary on metro passengers worldwide, Life Underground is a project from French filmmaker Hervé Cohen. It focuses on the human side of metro networks by featuring the stories of passengers around the world.

UITP proudly supports this project, which already features online videos from the metro systems of Berlin, Brussels, Madrid and Montreal. More filming is scheduled to take place in Hong Kong, Lausanne, Paris, Shenzhen, Tokyo and Santiago.

International TV channels, such as TV5MONDE, have already agreed to broadcast Life Underground, and there are plans to release a book version in Spring 2017.

The Life Underground project is currently open to all metro networks worldwide. For more information or to participate, please contact Christina Beier at christina.beier@uitp.org
