UITP is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Union of Ibero-American Capital Cities to advance common objectives.

UITP and the UCCI have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work in collaboration on important issues affecting mobility in cities - particularly in the context of the 2030 agenda for Sustainable Development, the New Urban Agenda and UCCI’s “Programas de Cooperación Integral”.

The partnership will also encourage cooperation between both organisations and witness the exchange of knowledge, good practices and experience on the areas of mobility strategies.

"City dwellers are looking, now more than ever, for strong local leaders to offer them liveable and sustainable urban areas. UCCI and its members represent this leadership, and the collaboration we are building today will lead to concrete actions which will improve mobility, as well as the life of citizens in cities. It will do so on issues as important as economic and urban development, environment, gender equality, peace, innovation and human rights", Pere Calvet, UITP President.
