Working Groups
Different Working Groups have been set up to suit the specific interests of the members in the region. The following groups are of principal importance to the region:

- Transport corridors
- Integration of Transport Networks
- Informal Transport
- Regulation

Committee Meetings
The first Executive Committee meeting of the UITP Latin America Division took place in Vitoria, Brazil in October 2003.

Since 2003, the  Executive Committee has met in:

• Santiago, Chile in September 2004
• León, Mexico in December 2004;
• São Paulo, Brazil in May 2005
• São Paulo, Brazil in October 2005
• São Paulo, Brazil in February 2006
• São Paulo, Brazil in August 2006
• Bogota, Colombia in February 2007

Latin American Assembly
The Latin America Assembly is an open meeting for all UITP members in the region. They provide an unique opportunity for members to share the most up-to-date information and best practices on public transport, and to discuss the latest transport developments in the region. The Assembly takes place once a year.
The last Assembly took place in October 2005 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The next Assembly will take place in September 2007 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Seminars/Last events
In order to fulfill the Divisions' objectives: to disseminate successful practices across the region, and increase the potential for networking; a number of successful events have been organised in the region providing participants with state-of-the-art knowledge and networking opportunities.
