The 2015 UITP World Congress & Exhibition in Milan comes at a time when the world of public transport is facing an unprecedented number of challenges.
Public transport must perform better, be more business-oriented and react to changing customer expectations. It must also contribute to job creation and growth, make cities more competitive, reduce congestion and lead the way in urban mobility integration.
These ambitious yet realistic goals are reflected in the slogan ‘SMILE in the city,’ with the acronym ‘SMILE’ - Sustainability – Mobility – Innovation – Lifestyle – Economy – directly related to these challenges and to UITP’s strategy of doubling the worldwide market share of public transport by 2025.
If you have experience with policies, systems and actions directly related to these challenges and wish to share them with fellow public transport professionals, policy officials and decision makers from around the world, UITP wants to hear from you!
UITP is inviting individuals and UITP working bodies to submit their proposals for individual speeches and applications to organise full sessions based on the Congress theme of ‘SMILE in the city’. Exhibitors are also encouraged to submit their proposals for the dedicated Expo Focus sessions that will take place throughout the duration of the Exhibition.
Interested? The deadline is fast approaching: you have until 31 July 2014 to apply.
