Peter Hendy was appointed Commissioner of Transport for London (UK) in 2006, having previously served as TfL's Managing Director of Surface Transport. In 2006, he became Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE), for his work keeping public transport in London running during the 7 July 2005 London bombings. He has over 30 years experience in public transport operations and management.

John Inglish was appointed General Manager and CEO of Utah Transit Authority (USA) in 1997, having worked in the transportation industry for more than 35 years. Under his leadership, Utah has garnered national and worldwide recognition for its transportation systems.

Ingrid Lieten was appointed CEO of De Lijn (Belgium) in 2002. She was elected 'Manager of the year' in Belgium in 2006 for her efforts to turn her company into a smooth-operating organisation where modernisation does not mean ignoring the employees' needs.

Joël Gauthier has been President and CEO of the Agence Métropolitaine de Transport (Canada), a corporation created in 1996 by the government of Quebec to oversee strategic planning and coordinate the transportation of people in the Montreal metropolitan area through the promotion of public transport. AMT is also operating the Montreal region's commuter train system, which ranks sixth in terms of ridership in North America.

David Martin was appointed Chief Executive of Arriva in 2006. He joined the company in 1996 on the acquisition of British Bus, becoming Group Managing Director - Operations and Deputy Chief Executive in 2005. Arriva employs more than 38,000 people and delivers more than one billion passenger journeys across 12 European countries every year.

Jesús Padilla Zenteno has been CEO of Corredor Insurgentes, SA de CV (CISA), since the launch of the Metrobús project, the BRT system for Mexico City. His strong leadership was crucial to organising the traditional operators of the region and today he manages a robust company with around 180 members and 262 shareholders.

José Gustavo de Souza Costa is President of Metro do Rio (Brazil) and responsible for the important transformation of the system. Pursuing a high investment policy, he renovated the system and established a high standard for the first private metro in Brazil. The number of passengers has doubled in ten years, jumping from 280,000 in 1998 to 550,000 persons per day today.

Anthony Ekundayo Mobereola is Managing Director and CEO of the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) in Nigeria. He has the Herculean task of giving Lagos commuters and motorists alike a new lease of life. Under his supervision, LAMATA has the mandate to facilitate and implement an integrated transport system for Lagos state.

Petr Valerevich Ivanov is the General Director of Mosgortrans (Russia). While he served as Assistant Mayor of Seoul Metropolitan Government from 2002 to 2005, he led the Seoul Public Transport Renovation Project, reforming the entire bus system integrating it with the subway for a new high-quality city public transport system.

Andreas Sturmowski was appointed CEO of Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe- BVG- (Germany) in 2005. He has extensive experience in civil aviation including the privatisation of the airports of the new länder.
