KZP GOP is the Municipal Transport Union of the Upper Silesian Industrial District, service provider for passenger public transport within the agglomeration. It consists of twenty seven municipalities, for which the Union provides public passenger transport services (buses and trams) and enables transport communication with the neighbouring towns and cities. The activity range of KZK GOP covers the area of 1,4 thousands of square kilometres, inhabited by over 2 million people. Every day, KZK GOP lines are serviced by around thousand vehicles, transporting about million passengers per day, which constitutes 57 per cent of traffic share. KZK GOP has been an active UITP member since 2006.
