Alongside the UITP Transport and Urban Life Committee, which is bringing global members to Cairo from 2–4 February 2026, we are organising a workshop that brings together regional and international perspectives on 5 February, 2026.

The workshop will explore how Cairo, Dubai–Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Jeddah are integrating public transport, active mobility, and mixed-use planning to shape vibrant urban environments.

As cities across the MENA region accelerate their urban transformation agendas, transit-oriented development (TOD) is emerging as a cornerstone of more connected, sustainable, and people-centred communities.

Why Attend?

Through case studies, best practices, and collaborative group work, participants will dive into the strategies, policies, and partnerships needed to deliver successful TOD across diverse city contexts.

Participants will learn about international case studies, the Transport and Urban Life Committee Members, be prompted to join if relevant.
