Transports Publics Congress & Exhibition is taking place from June 14-16 in Paris to boost a “made-to-measure mobility”. Various projects, in which UITP is involved, will participate in the exhibition, addressing the most crucial aspects that may contribute to ease the mobility of European citizens all around the EU.
On Tuesday 14 June, Yannick Bousse (13:30 – 13:45, UITP stand) will explain how the EBSF_2 project develops a new generation of urban bus systems by means of new vehicle technologies and infrastructures in combination with operational best practices, and testing them in operating scenarios within several European bus networks. Mihai Barcanescu (UITP) will show what is being done in the NGTC project towards the Next Generation of Train Control Systems for both mainline and urban rail domains (14:00 – 14:30, UITP stand). At the same time (14:00 – 15:30) projects ZeEUS and EBSF_2, represented by respectively by Pauline Bruge (UITP) and Yo Kaminagai (RATP) will participate in the roundtable: The right project for the right target (Congress area).
As a side event, EBSF_2 Lyon Demonstration will present the work done by the Demo Team within the area of Energy Management Strategies and Auxiliaries (9:00 – 12:00, Room FORUM). You can read more about this event here.
Wednesday 15 June will be dedicated to IT solutions. On the UITP stand Emmanuel de Verdalle (DigiMobee) will explain how the ITxPT Association deploys standardised, interoperable and cost-efficient IT architecture (11:30 – 12:00). Then, Patrick Skoniezki (UITP) will present the OPTICITIES project and its interoperable IT solutions for European cities (12:30 – 13:00).
Rail Day is the theme of the last day of the conference, Thursday 16 June. The needs and expectations of a lighthouse project, IT2Rail, the first step towards the long-term Shift2Rail IP 4th “IT Solutions for Attractive Railway Services” will be showed by Cristina Hernandez (UITP) at UITP stand (12:30 - 12:45). Additionally, Pauline Bruge (UITP) will give an update on the electrification of urban buses in the ZeEUS project (14:00 – 14:15, UITP stand). In the session Information technology for public transport: driving ITS standardization in Europe, Emmanuel de Verdalle and invited ITxPT Members will explain how and when move from proprietary IT solutions into modular open IT architecture? (Espace Europe, 15:30 – 16:30).
