We have approximately 12,000 electric buses and 10,000 electric taxis, supported by over 400 charging stations and nearly 8,000 charging points. Over eight years, we have reduced carbon emissions by nearly one million tonnes, lowered PM2.5 concentrations by 40%, and benefited 24 million people.

About this Project

  1. Air Pollution and High Carbon Emissions. We established one of the world’s largest pure electric bus networks, comprising approximately 12,000 electric buses and 10,000 electric taxis. This is supported by over 400 charging stations and nearly 8,000 charging points. Over eight years, this initiative reduced carbon emissions by nearly one million tonnes and lowered PM2.5 concentrations from 35 micrograms per cubic metre to 21 micrograms per cubic metre (a 40% reduction).
  2. Resource Recycling and Battery Pollution Management. The world faces pollution risks from end-of-life lithium batteries—with 12 million tonnes projected for 2030. We established China’s first “Battery Hospital” demonstration base, creating a green closed-loop system of “end-of-life batteries – material regeneration – cascaded utilisation”. This extends battery lifespan from 8 to 12 years while reducing costs by approximately 30%.

Key Highlights

  1. Established one of the world’s largest pure electric bus networks and the Integrated Photovoltaic-Storage-Charging ecosystem.
  2. Full Lifecycle Battery Management Innovation.Through dynamic health monitoring and extended warranty technology, battery lifespan is extended from 8 to 12 years, reducing costs by 30%. Establishing a circular system of “retired batteries – energy storage applications – material recycling”.
  3. Integration of Smart Mobility and Low-Carbon Technologies
  4. Operates the world’s largest autonomous bus route and developed the “Ruyue Charging” platform for panoramic real-time monitoring and alerts.
  5. Integrated photovoltaic-storage-charging carbon reduction solutions have been successfully deployed across multiple Chinese regions (including Guizhou, Fujian, and HK).
