UITP Academy is launching a new in-person training on the topic of Bus Planning and Scheduling which will start on 12th May and end on 14th May 2026.

The training will include interactive sessions and case studies.

  • Network design may have also an impact on the timetable design when routes need to be coordinated or synchronised.

  • Which parametres are leading, and which steps are involved in the design process? 
  • How to make timetables passenger friendly.

  • Short presentation of all the processes from timetable creation to crew rostering through vehicle shifts and driver shifts.  
  • Overview of the parametres and potential costs within each process 
  • Feedback about a project which dealt with production optimization – Stakes and Difficulties

  • Which parametres need to be taken in account for the vehicle planning.  
  • What will be the impact of maintenance and fleet availability?
