Public transport is at the heart of sustainable, resilient and inclusive cities. As part of World Public Transport Day UITP Academy offers participants a practical introductory training to the essential foundations of public transport while exploring the key trends shaping its future.

Led by international experts, the session will explore why public transport matters, how systems operate across infrastructure, operations and customer experience, and how the sector is addressing key challenges such as decarbonisation, climate resilience, workforce transformation and cybersecurity.

Through real-world examples from leading cities and an interactive discussion, this session will provide valuable insights for professionals looking to better understand how public transport systems are designed, operated and evolving worldwide.
