In just one week, over 200 public transport leaders and mobility professionals will gather in Los Angeles for UITP’s 8th Annual North America Conference, the landmark event shaping the future of public transport across the region and beyond.
From 20-22 October, attendees from across the U.S., Canada, and the world’s transit community will come together for three days to exchange ideas, explore global best practices, and play a role in shaping the future of mobility in North America.

What to Expect
October 20
We begin the week with a welcome reception to connect with peers from across the industry. The day also features an Urban Mobility Open Payments Forum workshop dedicated to advancing open-loop payments in public transport systems across North America.
October 21
A full day of insightful sessions, global case studies,and a networking dinner.
October 22
Final conference sessions followed by technical tours, including:
- Bus Electrification at Division 9 – Explore LA Metro’s zero-emissions transition.
- LAX/Metro Transit Center – Discover seamless airport connectivity in action.
- Security and Emergency Operations Center – Witness real-time monitoring and response coordination.

Finally, UITP will host an invite-only workshop for public transit agencies on planning and managing large-scale events, offering a valuable post-conference exchange.
