As a member-led organisation, UITP is defined by those who call our association home. Bringing together more than 1,900 members across more than 100 countries, we strive to empower and amplify the diverse voices from our global community.
Behind the scenes, our Finance, IT, and Logistics team plays a vital role in ensuring that our operations, events, and strategic initiatives run smoothly and effectively. Strong leadership in this area is essential to support our members and drive the organisation forward.
With this in mind, UITP is delighted to announce that the Finance, Logistics & IT Department will be led by Kamel Bounyar as Senior Director.
Kamel brings a strong background in financial management, auditing and risk assessment, and his professional path is marked by an unwavering commitment to excellence and collaboration. In his new role, he aims to actively contribute to the organisation’s strategic and operational objectives by leveraging his professional and personal skills.
We are delighted to welcome Kamel Bounyar as our new Senior Director for Finance, IT & Logistics. His leadership will be pivotal in strengthening our core operations, enhancing innovation and efficiency, and ensuring UITP continues to deliver outstanding value and support to our global membership and strategic objectives.

His leadership will be instrumental as UITP advances its Strategic Plan 2025–2028, and continues its commitment to supporting public transport stakeholders worldwide.
