UITP is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Prix Mixité at the 34th Palmarès des Mobilités, recognising the association’s continued commitment to gender equality and inclusive practice in the public transport sector.

The Palmarès des Mobilités, organised annually by Ville, Rail & Transports (VRT) magazine, celebrates excellence, innovation and social inclusion across mobility initiatives implemented by authorities, operators, cities and organisations.

This year’s ceremony took place on 9 December 2025 in Paris and brought together leading practitioners and decision makers from across the transport and mobility community.

The Prix Mixité is awarded to initiatives that advance gender balance, diversity and inclusion, helping to build a more equitable and representative public transport sector. UITP received the prize in recognition of our proactive policy in favour of gender equality and structured approach to gender parity, both within the association and as part of its work with members and stakeholders.

UITP’s gender equality policy aims to ensure that the organisation’s governance, events and activities reflect the diversity of the people public transport serves. Through sustained action, UITP has increased the representation of women in leadership roles, strengthened gender balance in speaking panels and embedded inclusive practices across its programmes.
