Webinar: “From Road Transport Research to Real-World Mobility: Connecting STREnGth_M with Public Transport Practice”
On 23 January 2026 from 11-12:30, the STREnGth_M project will host a webinar exploring how European road transport research can translate into real-world sustainable mobility solutions benefiting society as a whole.
This webinar is organised by UITP, who is a partner in this project, in cooperation with the project team, the webinar “From Road Transport Research to Real-World Mobility: Connecting STREnGth_M with Public Transport Practice” will take place from 11:00 to 12:30 CET and feature leading voices from research, industry, and public transport.

From strategic coordination to tangible results
Funded under Horizon Europe, STREnGth_M (2023–2026) continues the legacy of FOSTER-ROAD, FUTURE-RADAR, and FUTURE-HORIZON in coordinating Europe’s road transport research and innovation (R&I) efforts. The project defines future research priorities, identifies barriers to innovation uptake, and connects European, national, and international R&I initiatives.
As Europe advances toward the Green Deal and Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy goals, public transport is emerging as the most visible outcome of road transport innovation transforming research into daily mobility through clean, connected, and collective systems such as Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and on-demand services.
