SHOW supported the deployment of shared, connected and electrified automation in urban transport.
Shared Automation Operating Models for Worldwide Adoption
During the project, real-life urban demonstrations took place in 20 cities across Europe, integrating fleets of automated vehicles into public transport, demand-responsive transport (DRT), Mobility as a Service (MaaS), and Logistics as a Service (LaaS) schemes.
SHOW was the largest and most holistic initiative piloting automated vehicles in urban environments.
It brought together a strong partnership of 69 partners from 13 EU countries and fostered international cooperation by collaborating with organisations from the US, South Korea, Australia, China, and other countries.

The integration of AVs in public transport networks can be considered as one of the biggest game-changers in urban mobility today. As the largest project on automated transport ever funded by the European Commission, the launch of SHOW marks a very important moment for UITP and our members. We are very proud to have gathered the greatest European knowledge to make seamless and integrated urban mobility through automated fleets a reality.
