Ticketing shapes every journey. Of course, public transport is only accessible when buying a fare is simple and seamless!

What’s more, as mobility services continue to integrate, ticketing becomes more important. For an easy and simple passenger experience, there are many strategies and technological solutions, from open-loop to closed-loop payments and more.

And that’s where UITP comes in. On top of our members’ cutting-edge research and knowledge, UITP mobilises ticketing and fare management stakeholders in the Urban Mobility Open Payments Forum and is a part of the Smart Ticketing Alliance.

By working together, we can make public transport more integrated – and importantly – more accessible.
