Latin America Regional Office

UITP is active across the Latin America (LATAM) Region, with members and activities in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.

Since our establishment in Latin America in 2003 and the opening of our offices in Sao Paulo in 2005 and Mexico City in 2018, UITP has worked alongside stakeholders to promote best practices in public transport and develop cooperation to provide alternatives for sustainable mobility in cities and countries in the Latin American region.

Working together with authorities, operators and the industry, UITP has the ability to identify and understand the particular needs of Latin America, including understanding of the specific context, learning from good local practices and collaborating with the right partners to face challenges of the region.
