Changing urban mobility

Supporting new mobility behaviours

A traffic jam with clean cars remains a traffic jam.

There’s more to upgrading urban mobility than just electric vehicles. While they’re an important part of the puzzle towards achieving sustainable mobility, they cannot be and are not a one-size-fits-all mobility solution. Indeed, we need an integrated network that offers the right mode in the right place and fulfills the right needs. As demand for mobility increases, the time to plan for and implement sustainable mobility is now.

In our new Policy Brief, prepared by the Organising Authorities Committee, ‘Car Electrification and Urban Mobility’ explores how cities can effectively facilitate the transition towards a more sustainable, equitable, and economical mobility system. What’s more, the brief contains six case studies from around the world:

  • Cape Town, South Africa
  • Barcelona, Spain
  • London, United Kingdom
  • Budapest, Hungary
  • The Netherlands
  • Singapore
