Diversity, Inclusion & UITP

It’s simple: public transport is a public service. And our services must feel safe and welcoming for everyone. That means accessible services that considers those with additional needs, a workforce that reflects the local community – from front line to boardroom – and implements strategies to make transport more inclusive for women.

As a global association, UITP leads on diversity and inclusion. From doubling the number of female speakers at our events (to a record 46%), to partnering with organisations like the Global Alliance for Feminist Transport, diversity and inclusion are part of our core values as set out by UITP’s Strategic Plan 2025-2028.
