PostAuto helps schoolchildren find the right bus with animal symbols
In parts of Switzerland, PostAuto uses colourful animal symbols to help young schoolchildren identify the correct school bus. Developed to support children who may not yet confidently read route numbers, the system pairs buses with animals such as whales, elephants and hippos. According to PostAuto, the simple approach has virtually eliminated cases of children boarding the wrong vehicle.
STIB-MIVB celebrates 50 years of the Brussels Metro
Brussels public transport operator STIB-MIVB is celebrating 50 years since the launch of the city’s first metro line on 20 September 1976. Nearly five decades and five billion journeys later, the network remains at the heart of mobility in the Belgian and European capital. Alongside a month of celebrations, exhibitions and special events, STIB-MIVB has shared its 50 Years of the Metro in 50 Seconds video series via social media, offering a glimpse into the network’s history.
Transdev launches new mobility podcast
One for the podcast listeners out there. Transdev has launched Transdev Forward, a new podcast exploring the challenges shaping the future of mobility. Each episode brings together colleagues from across Transdev’s international operations to discuss topics ranging from demographic change and recruitment to long-term transport trends and strategic planning.

Prilly-Malley wins Switzerland’s 2026 FLUX mobility award
The Prilly-Malley interchange in Switzerland has won the 2026 FLUX mobility award, recognising excellence in transport hub design and operation. The award highlights how public transport infrastructure and urban development can work together to improve connectivity and the passenger experience, offering lessons for cities and operators across the sector.
