About: 

Urban pressure has lead us to reduce the surface area of bus depots while keeping it necessary activity in urban area. There would be classic solution as well as some innovative solutions. The new technologies and automation help a lot for efficiency in management of the depots. The automated parking, signalling systems enables the more productive layout planning as well as some disruptive innovations like multi storey depot system changes the game.  

Of course the impact of digitalisation, big data, Internet of Things (IoT) etc... will be also a massive game changer on all maintenance/asset management activities in public transport. The primary purpose of maintenance is to keep assets in a state where it can perform its prescribed function and duty (availability and reliability) at the optimum cost (Total Cost of Ownership). “Smarter” asset management is made possible through self-learning systems that not only make diagnosis, but predict failures and trigger maintenance duty orders. Data from multiple sources are processed to perform predictive analytics, based on forecasting of assets’ Remaining Useful Life (RUL).

In this Training Programme we will be focusing on the latest innovations on Depot Management and the Maintenance processes.
