A little background

Public transport starts with operational excellence and technological innovation. They are key to the progress of our sector, as well as to ensure reliable and safe transport fleets that meet the rising expectations of operators and passengers. From cleaner vehicle technology, to user-friendly design, to advances in asset management and maintenance: innovation and vehicular technology are fundamental steps towards sustainable urban mobility systems.

What do we do?

At UITP, we don’t forget the core business of our sector. We gather worldwide manufacturers and suppliers to work together in our Industry Committees to share the latest technologies that will shape the future of public transport across modes and services. Our Industry members are seen at the forefront of mobility enablers: leading on projects related to digitalisation, the impact of big and open data, and autonomous mobility. We also prepare and deliver advocacy material to support the evolution of the sector in cooperation with other associations and stakeholders.
