About:

As supporters of reduced emissions in Public Transport, in partnership with NYCEDC (New York Economic Development Corp.), UITP will be hosting an interactive workshop in New York City on the topic of Energy Efficiency in Waterborne Transport.

With the inclusion of the industry, authorities and operators will exchange on the latest developments in the sector related to cleaner vessels, while also focussing on the general experience, and the practise of implementing the use of these electric, fuel-cell, and environmentally conscious passenger ferries in the Public Transport setting.

This workshop is for EVERYONE!

You could be representing an authority thinking of implementing a green initiative, an operator considering the conversion of your vessels, or perhaps, you may be the industry seeking better understanding to answer needs more productively. You may want to..

..know about the options currently offered

..hear directly from the source on success and failures in running these vessels

..know more about the financial implications

..learn from the experience of other stakeholders

..make the right contacts for your business

..or you could have multiple other reasons to be at this event!

Seeing that more US based ferry systems are interested in going green, we also expect fruitful conversation between participants from around the world and those joining from the host country.

Understanding the needs of our attendees, we have also set up a FREE NETWORKING EVENT for participants and speakers only! A picturesque SITE VISIT of one of New York's grand routes is also included.

Go to the REGISTRATIONS tab to sign up for this workshop before we reach our capacity!
