About: 

The new mobility services are shaping a leading trend in the shared economy on public transport and urban mobility market. The 3-day training will be held in Singapore and hosted by GRAB, you may get acquainted with related concepts of Mobility as a Service (MaaS), understand how on-demand and autonomous transports work and discuss implications for mobility in cities.

Objectives

  • Understand, analyse and discuss: main mobility trends in cities today, the disruptive effects of new mobility services and shared economy on public transport and urban mobility
  • Get acquainted with related concepts & definitions: shared, connected, on-demand and autonomous transport
  • Get a worldwide overview of practices & transport models
  • Deepen your knowledge on car, bike and ride sharing and discuss the success and failures of their business models 
  • Learn about on-demand services, mobile apps and their impact on the public transport industry
  • Understand, discuss the concept of Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and learn from latest practice, failures and successes
  • Understand how autonomous and connected vehicles work and discuss implications for mobility in cities

Methodology

  • Getting inspired by trainers, understanding the main aspects of new mobility services and learning from successful best practice
  • Participating interactive plenary sessions with introduction by course leaders, presentation by the trainer and open discussion with participants
  • Challenging participants’ practical knowledge on new mobility services
  • Addressing the topic from an international perspective, enriched by different cultural approaches and points of view 
  • Benefiting from a unique exchange of knowledge and experience between professionals via practical exercises and case studies

  • Staff from public transport operators or authorities responsible for the planning, implementation & running of new mobility services and/or involved in the cooperation with these mobility providers
  • Staff from the industry worldwide involved in the market uptake in this area: ITS companies, app-developers, car & vehicle manufacturers, etc.
  • Staff of public and private providers of car, bike and ride sharing services and of app-based on-demand services
  • Staff of regional or national authorities in charge of the regulation of these new services, the development and application of policies and/or related framework projects

Seats allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To register a group of 4 persons of more from the same organisation, please contact us.

Groups generally consist of 25-30 participants in order to increase the learning experience and interaction during the programme.

Participation fees include:

  • Training instruction
  • Lunches and coffee breaks
  • All training documents: Binder including all presentations and supporting documents; access to all training material via MYLibrary (after the training)

    Please note that the course fee does not cover the cost of air ticket and accommodation, daily transportation in Singapore. Participants are also required to make their own arrangements for airport transfers and daily travel from the hotel to the training venue.

    • A debit note/invoice for payment of the registration fee shall be sent to you within 5 working days.

    • Confirmation email will be sent to you after successful fee collection.

Your participation will only be confirmed when we receive the full payment before 16 July 2019. Should you opt to pay via credit card, the confirmation email will be sent to you after successful fee collection. **Registration fees are transferable to another employee of the same organization but it is non-refundable.

Notes:

  • Shuttle service will leave on time at 8.40am from the pickup point.
