Organised in collaboration with UITP, Transports Publics, the European Mobility Exhibition takes place from 14 to 16 June 2016 in Paris. For a long time now, this is a must attend event for all actors in the public transport and sustainable mobility sectors in France and in Europe. Over 10,000 highly qualified public transport key players will come together over the three days to discuss the latest innovations for sustainable urban, interurban and regional transport. Expert speakers will participate in international debates at the Congress. More than 250 exhibitors will also showcase their innovations in equipment, services and products relating to the entire mobility sector.
The European Mobility Exhibition comes at a key moment in public transport’s development. Indeed, in the last ten years, the urban mobility issue has significantly evolved with, for example, new technologies and the increasing opening of public transport markets to competition. Citizens as well as politicians are slowly realising the importance of finding solutions to guarantee sustainable mobility across Europe in the future.
UITP, with its European and global perspective, will be especially involved in debates about European transport policies, EU research programmes, sessions in the 'Europe sessions,' in several plenary round table sessions as well as the Rail Day on 16 June. That date comes at the right time, as it should be the moment to discover the content of the 4th railway package and its technical pillar regarding governance and market opening.
