We are delighted to announce that the UITP Centre for Training has been selected as a winner in the Best Association Training Initiative category of the 2019 European Association Awards!

With an impressive panel of judges, this prestigious awards programme recognises excellence and exceptional quality delivered by associations across Europe, celebrating the vital work that these organisations accomplish for and on behalf of their members.

“I am very proud to receive this Award on behalf of UITP. It is a valuable recognition of the work carried out by the Association to boost investment in human resources, capacity building and competence development in the public transport sector”, said Kaan Yildizgoz, Senior Director for Membership, Marketing & Services at UITP.

Since its establishment in 2015, the UITP Centre for Training has been growing exponentially, with training programmes organised in 57 countries so far and covering over 60 topics on public transport and mobility. The expert managers and top industry figures leading these programmes make up more than 200 trainers and bring together participating delegates from over 900 companies.

“UITP has the unique capability to provide training programmes with a fully international perspective, offering employees from any country to meet, exchange and learn from experienced trainers, transport professionals, experts and their peers from all over the world”, commented Sir Peter Hendy CBE, Chairman of Network Rail, UK.
