An interactive online event in the ANZ region

This year marks the start of the ‘countdown’ towards the implementation of Zero Emission Bus (ZEB) policies and commitments across Australian state jurisdictions and to the implementation of similar public transport bus decarbonisation policy commitments in New Zealand. In both countries, there will be no more new diesel bus procurements for urban services from 1 July 2025. This means that all Public Transport Authorities and Public Transport Operators region-wide must develop ZEB transition plans and procure ZEB assets/services to successfully implement those plans – which may require changes to the way bus networks, bus services, and bus infrastructure are designed and operated.

This webinar looks at how other places around the world have successfully met their government policy commitments, achieved sustainable energy supply, successful procurements/implementations, as well as how they operate, the actual benefits attained by transitioning to a Zero Emissions Fleet, and the new opportunities said transition creates.

You’ll learn how major electric bus conversion projects in Asia, Europe, South America, and ANZ have successfully:

  • Planned, procured, and implemented their ZEB Fleets
  • Optimised daily operations, including vehicle charging times and costs
  • Leveraged investment in charging infrastructure at depots to enable greater use of zero emissions vehicles
  • Triggered service improvements that optimise overall operational performance
  • Marketed Zero Emissions-based Bus Services to improve frontline passenger experience, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and achieve measurable service network usage growth
