What is it?

100th Edition of the Metro Assembly

The UITP Metropolitan Railways Assembly (Metro Assembly) has been bringing together high-level executives of metro operating companies since 1957. For the 100th edition, the meeting is taking place in Istanbul, a city that has 10 metro lines, six other urban rail lines, and which is resolutely expanding its network.

This 100th edition will have a new format: two workshop sessions will be held in sub-groups, thereby increasing exchanges and networking. The themes of these workshops will be: adapting to the “new normal” and using information technology & artificial intelligence to improve systems. In addition to this, a more classic session will be dedicated to the subject of metro projects delivery. Recent work by the UITP Metro Divison’s Platforms (formerly called Subcommittees) will also be presented.

At the Assembly, representatives from the Metro Division member companies share their news and discuss problems at the highest level in a closed, non-commercial environment.
