About

A revised EU rail passenger rights regulation will be implemented from 07 June 2023

This regulation introduces new passenger rights, including for regional rail services. In practice, it means that rail passenger transport operators and authorities must be ready by 7 June 2023 to respond to new passengers’ requests.

What new rights does this new regulation bring? What can I, as an urban, suburban or regional rail passenger transport operator, expect as major changes?

This training aims at explaining the major changes occurring as of 07 June 2023 for urban, suburban, and regional rail passenger services. It will give a short description of the major requirements, including the scope and deadline, according to the new regulation. Participants will be asked to take part in the training and check/build their knowledge in various interactive ways. The discussions will be fed by two case studies coming from the operator’s and the passenger’s side.
