Barcelona inspires. The official expression used by the local authority to express their vision for a brand-new story in the city’s future.

As Barcelona looks towards innovative transformation in the years to come, the world of public transport will be descending upon the city next year for the UITP Global Public Transport Summit (4-7 June 2023).

With all eyes on the Road to Barcelona, we’re excited to announce that the official registration has opened for the world’s largest event dedicated to urban mobility!

The world of public transport is defined by its strength of community – a community needed more than ever before as we work together to build a future fit for the ages.

Displaying the latest innovations, solutions and products, presented and showcased by the industry’s top players…the UITP Summit is an immersive four-day experience.

Combining a diverse programme of world-class Congress sessions and an outstanding Exhibition, the UITP Summit is the place to be.

Metro, bus, tram, train and even cable cars, the city has it all.

As an easily accessible international hub, there’s excellent integration between the Congress and Exhibition facilities. Barcelona is a well-connected city with outstanding public transport options, including all modes, alongside an integrated approach to boost modal shift and sustainability.

Under the theme “Bright Light of the City“, our three local partners for the 2023 Summit are Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), TMB and Renfe.
