Umberto Guida, Director of the European projects at UITP, will deliver a keynote speech tomorrow at the Busworld Academy Congress 2015 in Kortrijk, Belgium. Besides the well-known Busworld exhibition, the Congress will gather international stakeholders from the bus and coach industry. Amongst them, Daniela Rosca (European Commission - DG MOVE) and Carlo Mol (International Energy Agency) have also been invited as keynote speakers.
Umberto Guida has been leading European research projects for seven years at UITP. In his speech, he will present the most recent bus-related projects his team is currently working on: 3iBS, EBSF_2, ITxPT, ZeEUS… (for more information about these projects see www.uitp.org/projects).
UITP plays a key role for the bus sector with its Bus Division gathering more than 500 companies worldwide. Its members are working together on solutions for the organisation, operation and management of bus systems. Besides the development of innovations for cleaner bus systems, another priority of the sector is the replacement of ageing bus fleets by newer, less polluting ones – a point that Umberto Guida will also address in his speech tomorrow.
