2,718 attendees from 81 countries and over 15,000 single-entry exhibition visitors
Almost 170 press and media delegates from 47 countries
While this Summit chapter is coming to a close, the excitement continues…
From Montréal to Stockholm, and soon down-under in Melbourne, UITP is officially looking for the next city.
Who will step up to host the thousands of global public transport decision makers, industry exhibitors and guests attending this high-profile international event?
The Global Public Transport Summit regularly generates big revenue for its host city and country, with surveys showing that for every one euro in revenue earned by the host centre, up to seven euros is put back into the local economy. As the result of hosting the UITP Summit 2017, the event generated an estimated 20 million euros in revenue for the city of Montréal.
"We're thrilled to be partnering with UITP to host their Global Public Transport Summit in Melbourne in 2021,
and we look forward to welcoming delegates from across the world to showcase what our city has to offer." said Jeroen Weimar, CEO of Public Transport Victoria
