Virtual UITP Organising Authority Division Meeting successfully completed

The online UITP Organising Authority Division Meeting was successfully completed last month. On 28 April 2022, members of the Asia-Pacific Organising Authorities Platform (APOAP), Africa, and Europe, as well as guest speakers, dedicated contributions to several topics.

With the support from the Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) as co-host of the sessions, examples of BRT as innovative transport solutions have been presented: the case of SMG and the case of Peshawar by the Asian Development Bank. Secondly, strategies and practical experiences of “smart cities” that have helped transform and adapt mobility practices and supply have been presented across Asia: autonomous vehicles from the Shanghai Municipal Transport Commission, China; the fully integrated ticketing system presented by the Metropolitan Transport Commission, South Korea, and a “super city” in Maebashi, Japan.
