Introduction

Transport keeps us going forward

Ahead of the European Parliament’s plenary vote on the Recovery and Resilience Facility, UITP and other EU transport associations issued a joint statement on the importance of the transport and logistics sectors for the European Recovery. With a budget of EUR 372.5 billion, the Recovery and Resilience Facility is the EU’s main instrument to recover from the crisis caused by COVID-19.

The main objective of this joint statement is to call on Member States and the European Commission to ensure that the transport sector receives adequate consideration in the national recovery plans.
