Reshaping urban mobility in central and Eastern Europe

This Report overviews the most compelling case studies of urban mobility development in Central Eastern Europe. For the purpose of this report, environmental sustainability, technological innovation and transport governance and strategy have been identified as three cornerstones that guided the authors through the selection of the best recently accomplished or still ongoing projects. One of the key reasons behind this was to follow the well-established line of thought defined by the European Commission in its quest to encourage the shift to lower emission transport modes, be it through the 2011 White Paper on Transport or the Cleaner Transport Facility.
