About

The aim of this training course is to provide attendees with a full overview of what is at stake in the building and maintaining of travel information and wayfinding systems focused on user needs and expectations. The course will introduce and illustrate a practical toolbox of methods needed to design and deliver efficient and effective travel information provision throughout public transport user journeys, organized in five main categories – space-related information, time-related information, navigation / orientation, user behaviour and service disruption mitigation.

In the context of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the course will focus on how to improve existing public travel information / wayfinding systems to ensure relevance in a COVID / post-COVID environment and will be combined with a workshop offering hands-on experience to participants.
